Too good to be true?

There is a T350T for sale on PH Classifields. Its a 2003 model with 35k miles and is up for £16,900! The reg number is AY53 EOO

Its been on sale for 20 days or so, has anybody checked this car out? Is there a reason its so cheap?

It looks very nice and it also has the later targa panel fitments which are better. Perhaps the owner is just keen to sell?

Check out the numerous threads on what to look for, but basically buy on history and condition. Whatever you buy should have a nice list of minor niggles being fixed at each service - these cars need looking after and skimping on a bush replacement/oil seal swap is a bad sign IMHO.

yeah iv seen that one too. i dont like them either but in all honesty thats a small price to pay for a bargain!

Dont know about the car in question, but with the festive period and snow conditions, I doubt there have been many who have ventured to see it. Doubt a test drive would have been realistic recently too.

Rear pipes are a simple thing to change - the whole 'back box' section can be swapped for standard (or another farty version).

I reckon I saw this one at chatsworth, the pipes looked ridiculous, too big and stick out too far.

But as above, its not that hard to change them. Someone was selling a standard back box and I think there was a JP one on also, which sounds awesome.

Da Da Daaaaaaaaa...Sonic to the rescue. The car has been on eBay for a while. In fact a Pistonheader was all set to buy it before Christmas, but must have pulled out of the deal.

A quick read of the eBay advert reveals that it has had "a bump", but is "HPI clear". The way I read it, the advert is trying to blurr the distinction between it being HPI clear and perhaps Cat D. I don't know this for sure, but it is the only reason I can think of that this car has not sold at this price.

it say its "the car is condition inspected".

what i can't believe is that the seller is too stupid to work out that if he/she bought a set of 18" spiders (£500 approx) and chucked them god awful wheels (or sold them for £500 to some idiot with a vectra) the car would have alot better chance of selling.

What I cant beleive is that some prick is too stupid to know that car was sold before Christmas and is now with its new owner.

That ones been for sale a lot longer than 21 days. I commented on it a couple of months ago, not least the remark by the seller of warming through to 40deg. It may well be a great car but the advert and sellers seemingly lack of knowledge about the car really would put me off.

the car is still being actively advertised for sale, so me and anyone else can only assume that it is still for sale!!! it was only the wheels that i didn't like, the rest of the car looks great. Halycon blue is a fantastic colour and is very hard to show how good it looks in photo's.

I know that the wheels are not to everyones taste, as they are not my cup of tea at all but they grew on me and in the end i am not ashamed to say that I like them. But I cannot work out why because I liked the wheels that makes me stupid!
