When the clever people at Turn 10 go to such efforts to recreate so many cars and tracks, why do they then let me drive a Lexus or an Infiniti during a series for American cars only?

Because they're American brands? Same for Acura. It was the same in FM2.

As with Acura I think these manufacturers were created with America in mind. They think they're buying a premium brand bless'em.
