Entertainment when it goes dark?
Discussion
Guys,
I've done LeMans for the last 3 yrs & this will be my 4th. Apart from the usual beers tents, is there much action in the evenings or early hours to part? Such as night clubs, lap dancing bars on site or nearby in the town that people can recommend?

The old funfair has now almost gone just a few attractions left, in the old days it was a good way to spend thursday/friday evening but those days are gone. There is usually live music on wednesday evening and saturday evening and in the past few years some good acts. Apart from that you can always find something happening around the campsites including Mad Friday at the roundabout or the drivers parade in the town on Friday.
Gives a lovely image that - one third of the population of London arriving at Le Mans, a town of 150,000 people! As asked elsewhere and replied to, count of a rounded off figure of 250,000 for Le Mans and for the last Classic it was 80,000 but more expected this year. The lap dancing club has been situated next to the Schlumpf museum this year.

I'm sure that Le Mans centre has bars and clubs a plenty. As to "local totty", I would think they keep well away over the 24 Hr weekend.
Oh, it's nearer 250,000 attendees.
Yes, there are a few places that open late near the main Le Mans town square. Oh, it's nearer 250,000 attendees.
Last year found a good Jazz bar and also a club that was dead quiet until after midnight then got packed and opened till the early hours...
Later we got a tram back to the track to watch more racing!
New Tramlink is an excellent option and now means you can fit in the Friday town parade party & Free pit walk without the nightmare of trying to drive into town

Cheers guys, have been to the Town Centre on the Fri for the parade, which is always a good pub crawl. Cant believe there are no night clubs open off site to check out the local totty? On another note would you say roughly 3,000,000 visitors are attracted each year to LeMans?
Why don't you take Waynetta?

Rue du Port is a great place on a Friday night. The night club burned down before Xmas (with a kebab shop and pizzeria) but there is usually a good fight or two outside of the bars. A well-known area rather similar to "Mad Friday" at the Chemin aux Boeufs. On a serious note there are still night clubs and of course the Irish Bar.

I don't remember any lap dancing clubs on site but I'm sure there would be at least 1 somewhere in LM town. ... I do remember live bands On the big stage .... Not quite a lapdance club.

Oh and a load of cars driving round a motor racing circuit, allegedly

Not on friday night there isn't. Friday night traditionally for us is the only night we get pi$$ed. We go there primarily for the race - call me old fashioned ! Thursday night time qualifying then a few drinks til 2am-ish friday late night drinking possibly after the drivers parade, then saturday night out til 3-4am watching the race. Lap dancing tent closed in 2004/2005 ? when we were there in 2006 there was a plot for one on the official map but it never appeared. If its totty you want, there are still some lovely ladies to admire......
