Morning,
I guess as with many people, when the SMG pump failed on my E36 M3 Evo I decided to convert it to a manual.
Anyway as the SMG pumps costs an amazing amount from BMW, and a lot of the time it's pot luck to get a good second hand one, I was wondering if anyone out there has managed to recondition a pump?
I know that a company offers this service for the E46, but can it be done for the E36? I have a couple of spare pumps so i was thinking if anyone can do this then it would be a great help to other E36 SMG owners out there.
I am going to pass a pump to a local firm of engineers and see what they come up with, but if anyone has done this would be interesting to see how you got on.
