Guys,

For those who may be interested VMax is back!

I know a lot of TVR owners have concerns over noise regulations etc, but Brummie has ran there before with no probs and quite a few of you now have silencers fitted.

Would be great if a Cerb or two were there.

Woodbridge is a good way, I've stopped at hotels nearby when going before.

Regarding the noise limits, do you have to have silencers (like most of them, mines pretty loud I guess).

You need to email Craig on the Vmax thread and he will supply you with all the details, date once confirmed/venue etc

It was Fighting Torque that was held at Woodbridge, not VMax.

Woodbridge is south east and has a longer straight, at about 2.3 miles I think, it's very close to the coastsmile

The 'useable' length of Woodbridge is exactly 2 miles, don't know about Brunters though I believe it may be slightly longer. I ran a 1.5 standing start sprint with straightliners last year at Woodbridge - even that wasn't enough for VMax - I think you'd need around 3 miles in order get a realistic VMax and there is nowhere that long in the UK.

Brunters is 1.6 mile of straight with a safe breaking strip thereafter. The good aspect of Brunters is that you get to start on the opposite straight, then into the 180 deg bend then down the 1.6 mile straight for your VMax. Brummie, would be good to see you hit the mighty double ton eek
