Not quite understanding the wager here are we. Win = a billion and both arms remaining, lose = no money and one arm missing.

It does make it a much tougher choice to make when you understand the bet

I would take the bet if it was "heads you lose and Arm and win a billion / tails nothing happens.

I would not take the bet. I don't write a lot, and have not been married long enough to have to worry about self abuse being greater than the abuse the missus delivers.

But, my right arm is important to me when pressing on a bit in the car. So, with a billion I could afford any car I wanted and enjoy it with both arms, but without my arm, I'd have trouble hustling the Vette about, or anything I might afford in the future. Now that IS important.
