330 e46 boot lights??

my lights do not light up on the inside of the boot when it is open, i have checked the bulbs and they are fine, i was wondering if anyone knows what sends the signal for them to come on because i cant seem to find any push button or switch anywhere?? thanks

You've checked the fuse?

The switch for the lights is integrated into the latch - try manually flipping and releasing the latch a few times to see what happens. The LCM (Light Control Module) also turns the boot lid light off after 30 minutes or so of the boot being open to save the battery.

thanks not checked the fuse yet i will check the fuse tommorrow, where is the fuse box located, i have only had the car for 1 week?? if the fuse is ok then i will have to try the latch. thanks for the info tho

Top of the glove box - two quarter-turn thumb screws. There will be a pull-out card that lists which fuse is for what.
