Right.

My broadband connection is via NTL, because at the time BT could not offer me ADSL.

Today, enough has finally become enough.

I get sick of reading "there is a technical problem...." on the NTLWORLD server status page.

As my BT line can now support ADSL, what are my options for going down the BT broadband route?

Is it fairly straighforward to change?

Any scare stories etc etc?

You need to ditch NTL totally and convert the phone service back to BT.

Then you can choose any DSL provider.

I've been unable to get my email from NTL since last thursady, there is some problem with the server. Broadband works fine, though.

I imagine I am on the same Network as you (Nottingham) but I have had no problems until today.

Email is now working properly, but the regularity of NTL's email slowing down is driving me towards ADSL down a phone line.

These days I have the choice, wheras when I got NTL BB, it was the only option.

I am in Carlton and the broadband has been fine for me for months now. But have also found the Email service to be poor - slow, being told 'message store unavailable', and sometimes Emails taking a long time to come through.

Cheers, Phil

You're lucky. I can't get mine at all. Period.
