Did that crossing in 2006. Its OK. They are a bit clueless at Newhaven terminal though.

Im not doing the 24hrs this year but I am booked for the Classic if any SCers are going? Staying in KN...new one for me. Any suggestions for that site GB Man? Easiest entry point etc.

I only know how to get into it for the normal 24 hours, not the classic, but I assume it's the same.

Drive down past the main official track entrance so the track (multi coloured concrete wall!?) is on your left. Keep going down here till you get to a 4 exit roundabout. Right goes to Arnage (I think), straight on is blocked off during the race due it going onto the track (start of the Porsche Curves). Turn left.

Left goes under the bridge/ track with Porsche GB camping on your right. (Porsche Curves now on right/ over your head).

Keep going down here and you'll past the entrance to Beausejour on your right. You should come to a junction/ roundabout which is newish (last two years?). Go left at it. (I remember a car mechanics garage next to the junction).

Heading along here you should drive alongside Karting Nord on your left which camps right up to the edge of the road. When you come to a 4 tarmac junction mini roundabout. Karting Nord's entrance is normally off this round about. It'll be your first exit on your left which turns into the site.

This is how you get to it for the June Le Mans. There is an entrance just before the last mini roundabout but is not in use for June. Might be for the Classic.

If you've been before, this might make sense to you, if not then hopefully you can piece it together!

I'm booked for both...

24hrs crossing Portsmouth to Cherbourg on Wed, staying at TL, coming back Monday. Same as usual. Probably take the company car down.

LMC crossing Portsmouth to Caen on Friday, staying at MB, coming back Sunday night... again same as usual. Probably take the Westfield.

Can't wait!

Yes, I'm heading down but not in my car as we always take the father-in-laws camper van.

Leaving 8.15am on Wednesday (Portsmouth - Caen) camping on Houx and returning early Monday morning.

I'd be up for the classics, but have no idea hows best to arrange it?
Think with the Ginetta I'm best of through the tunnel as its very low, but if someone could give dates and campsites with how/where to book and prices would be appreciated.

She's not really a car kinda girl! Although I think I've convinced her enough to head along to the Alps with me a & a bunch of PH'ers on the PHN tour! But Le Mans maybe a step too far hehe

The scenery of the alps or watching a field full of blokes with there chestwigs out & full of noisy cars? hehe

There's normally a concert or two at Le Mans, so you could kill two birds with one stone so to speak. Last year it was The Stranglers and I saw the Wailers a few years back, minus Bob of course.
