Our local postie informed me last week, that they are now not allowed to deliver if the road or path has ice /snow on it! Apparently one of the other postmen broke his arm last week, while delivering letters, and the new directive means that none of them are allowed to deliver, as the Post Office would be responsible.

Just walked to the supermarket. Saw two posties on rounds, one with his bike all laden up, the other with his trolley, and wearing shorts! Nutter laugh

We had one delivery last saturday - we saw the postie making at least 3 round on our road to deliver everything. Had another yesterday but somethings not right as 14 dvd's from Play should have arrived by now and haven't...

Two posties live on my street and they were both off to work this morning and have been for the last few days. Not sure about anyone else though.... maybe its just a couple of them!

Just rang the sorting office to find out if we had any mail and then promptly collected it. Asked the chap and he said something about not sending the lads out today or yesterday because most of the side streets on their routes were lethal....

Which I can confirm hehe

Sad thing is, I'm still waiting for some boots that I bought on Ebay and the fkers STILL haven't arrived despite the seller giving constant re-assurances

It doesn't help that they send everything out individually.

Mine was actually earlier than usual this morning, despite having to drag his trolley through 6" of snow.

Had post on Monday morning, nothing since (unless there was none to deliver).

Yep, very slippy this morning. Pavements and back roads covered in ice, i was slipping and sliding all over the place. Almost fell over twice...

No rubbish/recycling collection since the week between Christmas/NY. 2 postal deliveries since last Tuesday.

Ocado/Next/Tesco/DHL have all been seen in our road!

aye tis a bit slippy, lost count of how many people I've had to help out of the snow and ice on the street where I live hehe

Our postie is usually brilliant, usually out in his shorts upto late november/early december - mad as a box of frogs too
