Focus 05 1.6 tdci (dpf or not)

i have just bought it and wanted to know how do check if my car has a DPF system on it. i have heard of the 05 1.6 tdci having them and not having them.... If i do have it, would i be able to top up the fuel additive myself or is it a dealer only job....

Check the V5 document - this will tell you whether you have EU4 (non-DPF) or EU5 (DPF).

If you have EU5, the Serium (DPX9) will be taken care of by your dealer at a service - you really don't want to touch it!

Is the car 90 or 110 hp? The 90's do not have dpf at that age. The 110 might depending on when it was produced.
