hehe Don't think Massa has a chance, unless the Ferrari is vastly better.

Exactly my thoughts when I saw the comment..

Massa is likely to go back to plating class now he has a more typical team mate once again IMHO.

Undoubtedly it will be said that his accident affected him and he was never the same again... but realistically he was probably just lucky to be paired with Kimi.

Wasn't so long ago i remember the general consensus was that Kimi would blow Massa away. I'm not saying that he will do the same to Alonso, but he's vastly improved - non?

I agree with you, unless the accident has badly affected Massa I'm really looking forward to him beating Alonso, who will then throw a mega-strop and blame his team for supporting the other driver .. sounds familiar

I have to say - Massa makes way way way way way too many mistakes to be even slightly troubled by Alonso.

On speed alone Alonso would stuff him........but with the mistakes too........I doubt Massa will last more than a season.

Historically i agree. Last 2 seasons with KR i thought he was a changed man regarding the unforced errors.

Why is this even a point of discussion?
Of course Domenicalli is going to say that....he's hardly going to say that one (or both) of his drivers don't have the talent to beat another driver!!

I don't know... Hakkinen was amazing after his accident and Lauda was'nt off the pace after his. Massa will be formidable.

I love how everyone forgets how Massa was able to beat Schumacher while they were in the same car. Still, let's not let logic get in the way of a good argument.

did that ever happen? I mean without Shumacher moving over, or breaking down? biggrin

What, like in 2006 when Schumacher beat Massa by 41 points, 5 more wins, and 5 more podiums? And if you're talking about race positions, Massa finished in front of Schumacher in only 4 of 18 races.

While I think Massa has grown much in F1, he's not a Michael Schumacher. If Massa beats Schumacher in 2010 -- which is entirely possible -- it will only be due to the benefit of superior machinery, teamwork, Schumacher's age, or any combination thereof.

on a good day though, admittedly they were rare, massa could outclass schumi.

For my money massa's matured since the schu days, it'll be interesting to see by how much once he's pitted against alonso. I'm hoping lotsevil

On a good day Massa outclassed Schumi? At what? being a spoilt child?! biggrin I'm sorry - but this is hilarious......you can't compare someone that spins 8 times in a wet race.......to someone of Schumi's talent.

I'm not even a massive fan of Schumi's style, or conduct - but comparing him to Massa on Massa's best day is hilarious.

Rubbish. Mansell never had a problem with age when he smashed schumacher in qualifying in a 'one off' race.

I love how everyone forgets Massa was forced to fake gearbox problems when he was quicker than Schumacher, that was just the blatant occasion.
Schumacher also made a lot of mistakes and cracked under pressure. Massa was brilliant under pressure in Brazil 2008. Schumacher would have probably hit a wall, again.

Hilarious then that Schumacher hit a wall when Senna's number Two was catching him in Aus 1994, and again in Monaco 1995 when Senna's number 2 took him off the line. Or strangely 2006 blew his engine when Alonso was catching him. Or cheated in qualifying when Alonso was quicker again.

Massa in Brazil 2008 showed he could handle pressure and be quick.

Stop being a fanboy, Hamilton had the first strop at Monaco when Dennis told them to hold position.
Go down to your local Kart track and see the F1 drivers of the future, the chances are the future champions are going to get arsy about anything and everything.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not bigging Schumacher up at all - he has made mistakes. His conduct has been bad too.

but comparing him to Massa!?!? Come on - pick a decent driver to compare him to.

I think the minimum requirement to be allowed to even mention in the same sentence as Schumacher would be someone with a world title.
