Same situation here, looking for one but I'm in NI so that means ferry and a longish drive at best unless I'm very lucky.
No snow here but there is everywhere there's a car I like the look of!

Will u be going for a standard or modified example? I'm still undecided. First things first though, I need to go and view some. Poxy bloody weather!
If I find sone dud ones I'll let ya know.

Most likely standard...insurance costs as I'm 19...
Unless the mods aren't too much to insure
Seen a couple about just waiting for the final bit of cash to come in (can't wait biggrin)

19? Have you had quotes for a standard car? I wouldn't like to guess the cost..

Really? I cant work that out! Anyhow, i think the OP should get a quote on the RS first before he buys, as DaveST says i shudder to think what the cost will be! biggrin

well i got a quote for the rs and was the same as the car i previously insurance (2002 2.2 Astra SRI) @ £1400, well £41 more actually but thats nothing.

Thats pretty good actually as the Astra was 147bhp whereas the focus is 212bhp.

If i get the modded RS the insurance goes to about £2,100+ YIKES!

Think i'll be getting a standard model.

Oh and im 24 but only got my licence 10 months ago.

Looking for a new car as i blew my astra up. oopsy

A mate is insured for £1800 on his same age
VX220 is £2200 to insure

Don't know how people get quotes of £2k+ for a corsa :S

ST220 is also group 16, i'd bet the RS would cost more to insure though (if you'd get it at all age 19 tbh). Oh, & i pay a whopping £230 smile Good luck though, your m8's will be blowing they £££ on ste usually & you will have a nice RS!!!
