Had my car shot today for a car mag and waited around to see what happens on what I'm sure is a boring day for the workers, but an interesting day for the novice!
It's amazing to see what you don't see in the finished photo! Lights pointing everywhere, polystyrene here and there and ages to take a single shot! I took a few (poor) handheld photos myself and am looking forward to seeing a copy of the professional examples!

Anybody had any similar experiences?

Cool - did they give you any pics?
Yep, two or three A4 prints and a copy of the mag when it came out. Got a free lunch too
I remember the date very clearly too. As I was troughing into lunch, unbeknownst to me the Twin Towers were falling down...

Went and did the outside bit today for the car mag - the weather could have been a bit better and it was a bit wet, but it makes the back slide out just that much easier
Also good to see your car being driven as it can be

My car was driven by the Car Journalist, I suspect he's done this once or twice before
, more pics to follow if I can find any decent ones amongst the 50 trillion I took!
