Had my car shot today for a car mag and waited around to see what happens on what I'm sure is a boring day for the workers, but an interesting day for the novice!

It's amazing to see what you don't see in the finished photo! Lights pointing everywhere, polystyrene here and there and ages to take a single shot! I took a few (poor) handheld photos myself and am looking forward to seeing a copy of the professional examples!

Anybody had any similar experiences?

A very, very old Canon 5D something and a 24-105 lens.

No flash, just long exposure and a huge tripod!

Yep, I had my old Griffith 4.0 photographed for Evo and someone else I know has just had an Audi done for them. Fun isn't it!

A few more shots here.

I was amazed the difference lights made to the shape of the car. The next shot after mine was a Fezza 430 and it looked....hmmmmmmm cloud9

Went and did the outside bit today for the car mag - the weather could have been a bit better and it was a bit wet, but it makes the back slide out just that much easier wink Also good to see your car being driven as it can be biggrin

My car was driven by the Car Journalist, I suspect he's done this once or twice before wink , more pics to follow if I can find any decent ones amongst the 50 trillion I took!

Yup, sure is.

I was amazed how 'used' it appeared to the naked eye!

I would love to be at a shoot like that, there would be so much I could learn about lighting and techniques.

Yeah, although it wasnt that 'used' when I was there last!! Its blooming huge there too, apparently they have parked and unloaded F1 transporters inside with the doors closed!!!
