So, the recession, is it really over?

The xmas spending probably saw us technically out of recession, however I think the first quarter 2010 will go back to negative but as it will only be one quarter it won't be recession, so the Gubment will claim that we have been saved going into the election.
I honestly think we are into a period of some quarters showing positive some quarters showing negative.

This feeling is gnawing at me... I'm half expecting something else to happen. I fear we will see a large second dip in the recession...

Even if we were out of recession, I think the state of the economy is such, that even a relativley minor blip (as others have said, Greece, Dubai etc) or a downgrading of our debt rating, we will end up much worse off as we dont have any resources to pull ourselves out of any trouble
