Couple of AUC BMW Questions

1) Should the Idrive be updated to the latest firmware before delivery? I specifically asked for this to be done as part of the deal but the dealer didnt do it and said the service department said they wouldnt do it unless there is a fault with the current firmware. ( ;-) needless to say there is now a fault and its slow and keeps crashing so it's going in for an update anyway - it's just the inconvenience!)

2) Should the navigation disk supplied with an AUC be the latest version - 2010 in this case?

1). Wouldn't of thought so, but as you asked for it specifically they should have done it out of curtosy.
2). No, it'll come with whatever disc it had when it came into their stock.

2) I was told yes, and mine certainly was.

1. I didn't think to ask but with the warrenty shouldn't matter.

2. Yes the dealer is sending me out the latest nav disk for free, snow has meant a 3 week wait for it and counting! Maybe tomorrow.....
