E46 M3 prices.

very nice car, good spec - though i think the lack of SMG doesn't help, at that price braket most will be looking at a CS or a few quid more and CSL
yours is about the most expensive private seller car, so don't hold your breath for the calls! i'd be interested to hear how you get on, the Z4MC market is dead at the mo, i wonder whether that applies to the high end E46 market too?

I have recently listed my car for sale. I don't think with the current weather people are drawn to buying high power RWD cars right now.
I've just bought a 4x4 as a family car from a 4x4 dealer and they are overun with orders!
Nice car, I would echo the points above. In the £12-15k range there are very few cars that are as good value as an M3. At your price range there are more options.

Good luck with the sale, very nice example and low miler.
The issue is of price. You will have to be very patient at that price level for a very descerning buyer who really wants a low miler E46 M3. In the £13-15-18k you can get A LOT of M3, but obviously higher miles and maybe missing one or two options.

Anyone looking for a E46 M3?
I have been looking at the classifieds and can't help noticing that most E46 M3s are selling for 13-15K, while some of the more expensive cars have been up for a while.
Also, I have put mine up...is there anything I should add or remove from the ad? I thought I might test the water with a standard advert first.

Thanks in advance.
Very nice spec and age for an E46 M3 but as others have said its near the top of the market price. BTW - what are you getting and do you have the full picture that is partly shown in your details section - specifically the 427GTS! Agree – optimistic price.
Last May I bought an immaculate 03, 32k miler with kiwi leather and all those extras plus sunroof (essential for me) and SMG for 17k.
My other feedback would be to remove the spec that is standard and impossible to de-spec, e.g. M3 buyers will know they have ABS and it just looks like list padding.
And I’m not sure why facelift M3’s are rare…there are zillions about.
Nice car though.

Nice looking car and best of luck with the sale, I expect the slightly disappointing response is due to it being one the more expensive E46 M3's and the number of cars for sale.
If i was buying I'd look for similar millage cars and doubt I'd pay a large premium to have an 05 car over a slightly older one.
Also at that money I'd spend a few more £k and get a CSL. there a few at around £25k with reasonable millage.

As others have said, your price is at least £5k too high, you can get cars from the main dealer network for less. Looks in good condition though, so priced correctly should sell quickly.
As for the info on your advert, it's not rare, facelifts came out in 2003 and there are thousands on the road, also, the bi-xenon lights and strut brace aren't only available on facelift models.
Personnally I'd go for a premium advert too, standard adverts are placed behind the premium ones in the listing, so many people may not even get to see it.
Good luck with the sale.

Looking around, M3 prices are all over the shop. I don't think that the OP's asking price is unrealistic. Some people managed to get a good deal if they bought their car in late 2008, early 2009, but currently prices are pretty favourable.
Good 2003 cars are still £15k+, with 2005/6 cars fetching £20k+ for a decently spec'd car. The OP's car appears to have everything in its favour and on paper at least has the boxes ticked.
Good luck with the sale OP, and I'm sure that the right buyer is out there. It just needs to be someone looking for a proper M3, rather than the raft of tat that's out there with sellers who falsely believe they have "good cars".
