Hey guys,

My electric mirror switch seems to be a little erratic and has been since I purchased the car. Fiannly getting round to sorting all these little problems out.

Basicly the switch works for up and down but not left or right. Any ideas what the problem could be? Corrosion on the switch due to water?

Its usually caused by water ingress.
Dont know if you can clean it or not.
I just lived with it on mine.

There are four small micro switches which are held in place by even smaller metal tabs bent over the switch. They may have come off like mine did....just buy a new one.

are they expensive new?

As per my ealier post of thinking of selling it I really dont want to fork out a lot of money on a minor issue when I am trying to sort out my finaces in order to keep it lol

That probably made no sense.

I have a similar problem with my n/s mirror but perseverance usually pays off. It can take 5 mins of fiddling.

The multi-plug in the door is prone to corrosion. Clean it up and you'll probably find that it starts working again. That's what happened with mine. smile
