Did the "Elvis" visit as a treat to myself for my 40th a few years ago on our way to the Caribbean, personally I think the mid priced ticket will give you everything you need. Don't forget to get into Memphis and do Sun Studies and all the other bits in town. We stayed at the Heartbreak Hotel which is right across the the road from Graceland, not silly money and worth it for the experience of a themed room !!!
Beale St in the evening is quite buzzy provided the weather is fine
Grabbed a cab into Memphis from the hotel and was assured by the cabby that he had met Elvis when he was a youngster, story goes that he used to wait at the gates of Graceland and everytime Elvis drove out he would give the kids some loose change, one day he stopped on his way back in and the kids asked where he had been, he replied that he had been to KFC, the kids asked if they could have some as they did not have enough money each to buy anything, he apparently replied and said if they where clever they could have worked out that if they put all the money he had given them as individuals together they would have had enough for a meal. I would like to think this is true, however I have a feeling everyone in Memphis has a personal story about the King
any other help let me know
Hope you have a good time

We were each supplied with a walkman with a commentary on it for the walk around the museum. Unfortunately for me, they forgot to turn theirs on at the start, so we ended up going around twice!! Torture.
Loved Memphis though.
