If you have read this far then you might be interested. Nothing special organised, just a run to the coast via a few back roads that we know.Weather forecast looks good and the car hasn`t been out for weeks so if anyone else is interested we will be meeting at 8am at Shell petrol station junction of Reigate Rd(A240) and Brighton Rd(A217). So far Cerbera and Jag XFS.

Here, you mean? http://splink.me/ggm27RUO

Which coast are you going to?

What's an XFS?

That`s the place. Will end up on Maderia Drive Brighton. XFS is the turbo diesel Jag.

Was a good drive and the Jag did well to keep up! River Mole had burst its banks so a deep puddle(8"shallowest point!) across the road in Betchworth but the Cerb got through ok. Some of the lanes a bit slippery where the frost had settled.Unfortunately couldn`t go over Ditchling Beacon (road was shut) but it was just about warm enough to sit out for a bit of breakfast on Madeira Drive once we got to Brighton. Gizmo you should have come along.

Ok. Sometimes go out via A24 to A29 so could meet on route. Will post on here two or three days before. Maybe you know some good routes as you are out that way. Normally go dry Sundays and early like today and back by midday or just after.

Drop me a message if I don't spot the thread for the next one. I am always up for scenic drive starting from somewhere local (Redhill area for me) providing I am not working.

If you dont mind too much dual carriageway...down the A24 to Washington, cut across to the back of Shoreham, pick up the A27 east, through the Southwick Tunnel ears, if time allows carry on to Lewes, through the Culfail Tunnel ears then A27 west back to Brighton. Job done smile
