S3 Body lift in NZ-pictures

Thought it was about time I got my body lift pictures up to share with you.
Thanks for all the help that this forum has given.
The car had a good solid coating of black under seal along all areas of both outriggers. We removed this which exposed 2 or 3 patches that had been welded in. Having seen the patches, we then followed up with a front partial lift to see the front outrigger condition. The usual rotten mess was found so as I had a little bit of spare time of Christmas, we did a full body off. We have spent several hundred hours and so far the list of work is something like this:
Outriggers---cut off and replaced all rotten areas
Rear body mounts—cut off and replaced
General chassis—took back to bare metal or close to bare, rust treated, primed and several top coats in “Delicious Red” .
Engine---major degrease and clean and new heat shield to engine bay
Exhaust-degreased, cleaned and autosol, re-welded broken mounting plate and replaced all mounting bolts and rubber washes.
Manifold—replaced thinning collar metal, repaired 2 small holes and painted with silver manifold VHT.
Rocker covers—removed, cleaned and painted with silver VHT.
Brakes—new servo, new master, new front pads and new rear shoes.
Shocks/spring sets---replaced AVO poly bushes with spherical bearings.
Wheels—refurbished by hand , now treated with autosol.
Starter motor—refurbished
Fluids—drained and replaced gear box, engine, diff and brake fluids.
Hoses—replacing with 11 piece black silicon hose set
All great enjoyment really and VERY pleased we are doing this in summer and not a cold winter.

Due to lift the body back on next week..!!
