Hi,

I have an E60 M5 with iDrive and CD changer in the glove box (which plays CD's and NOT MP3's).

I have been looking at the Dension 500 kit as I want to use my iPhone 3GS. I fitted an iPod dock cable in my E46 M3 so I'm quite OK with basic jobs like that.

I wondered how easy it is to fit?

I can get the full thing off eBay for £305, or I can get it fitted for £399. If I can save myself £94 for an hours work and do it myself then great!

Thanks

I had the Dension 500 fitted to my E60 M5. I took it to a car radio shop for fitting as it looked difficult. It took them a couple of hours and from what I saw it didn't look too easy.

Nice bit of kit though. You get to keep your CDC as well.

Will your front loading CD player read a MP3 disc?

Yes the front loading player reads MP3 discs!

I am going to get it fitted by a mobile specialist, £399 for the whole job. I've seen some people have fitted them in minutes and had no issues, others have struggled so I might as well pay a few £'s and get it done properly.

Thanks

Does that include the player? (I assume it does) I paid £70 to have mine fitted.

Yes, £399 for the unit and fitting, seems like a good price.
