Does anyone wanna see the winter olympics?

Hi all, i'm in whistler at the mo. I work in a hotel, as do most of my mates, all saying there are rooms still available for the olympics. Prices aren't too bad either, the olympic committee tried to put a cap on rediculous olympic pricing, i think my hotel is doing christmas rates + 10%. So not cheap, but not rediculous, it also seems that tickets will be available during the events too, and if you just want the atmosphere, the whole village is gonna have gigs/tv studios/all sorts dotted around that you can explore. I also recon you might be able to see the medal ceremonies through the fences. As most of the areas they will be in, look quite small.

If you want to ski/ride, its predicted that both mountains will be dead, since a lot of people here will be here for the olympics, not the mountains. Blackcomb (the left hand mountain, from the village) will be almost completley open, as all the races are occuring on the other mountain, Whistler, and even so, the races only really run down one side of the mountain. I'm looking forwards to having an empty mountain to play on!

If anyone needs any info, i can try help, i'm not exactly tourist information, but i might be able to offer something you cant get from elsewhere!
