At last the snow has gone and the roads are clear, albeit wet. Have just been out and have fallen in love again. The little Zed had done very well in the snow and has only got stuck once in the car park at work much to everyone`s amusement. Have just thraped it along the A4 between Marlborough and Hungerford (great road). First I`ve been able to do that for ages, couldn`t give it the full Heinz because of the standing water but that engine is just amazing, you red line it in third and do a rifle-bolt change to fourth and the accelerative energy is straight there again only now you have to back off because either you`re well into illegal territory or the folks exiting Cobbs farm shop are going to get a Top Gun style fly past.
I must admit, even to myself, the car is compromised for me to be doing 20,000 miles a year in but on these occasions that thought is Exocetted and you end up sat here in my kitchen typing nonsense with a burnt chicken and cheese toastie. Everyone should own an M car at least once in their life.

I couldn't agree more, managed to give mine a blast on Saturday. Trouble is though the roads have so much gravel on them at the moment I'm worried about my paintwork so it's parked up again while hopefully a clean line develops in the coming week. At least I've had my S54 fix! biggrin
