Is this worth looking at?

I'm feeling left out of the 4x4 gang, and would quite like one of these, but generally they are more than i want to pay. TDV8 Range Rover
The bit that concerns me is :
"Sadly not HPI clear as it suffered flood damage in the past but fully repaired and vic checked by vosa"
What does that mean in layman's terms. Would it be difficult to sell on later? Can it be removed from HPI? Will i have problems with insurance? What else should i be concerned about?
thanks chaps

Don't think it will be difficult to sell on but, like something that's registered CAT C or D, you'll have to expect to get less than the market average when you come to move it on. Fortunately, you should be paying less than market average if you buy so you'd just be subject to 'normal' market depreciation... if that makes sense?
I'm not too sure about flood damage, I guess it depends how deep its been, as not only would you get mechanical damage but obviously electrical and interior too. I think I'd want to see how much was done to 'fix' it first. Would the paintwork/rust warranty still be in force?
Does it have to be a TDV8 as there are plenty of V6 available, newer, for the same sort of money.

Hmm, thanks Colin, i think i understand.
Nigel, you are right about needing to understand the extent of the damage.
Does it have to be a V8? - what do you think?
I drove one when they first came out, and it was just sublime. I suppose i should get out and have a look at the ones with 2 missing cylinders - or just stick with teh good old petrol V8

Would steer well clear Dave if I'm honest.
Seen a couple of Brand new range rovers flood damaged in Lewes at main dealer and sold on by insurers subsequently repaired local to where I worked they were checked and passed vic.
One six months later developed a loom fault that knackered the ecu and the other one caught fire 12 months later due to electrics.
So I would never buy a flood damaged vehicle unless I did the repairs myslef or at least supervised the repairs, in addition that's a lot of wonga for a non HPI clear motor.
