Met Office Weather warning for Wednesday 20th

This link always points to 5 days away, so won't work on Sunday or after!

I can't see anything on that site that points to severe weather.

Rain turning to snow on the hills.

I don't think it will be as fun as last time.

Heavy Snow Wed 20 Jan
There is a moderate risk of severe weather affecting parts of England, Wales and southwest Scotland on Wednesday.

Outbreaks of rain are expected to turn increasingly to sleet or snow, especially over hills in central parts. There is a risk of significant accumulations, with perhaps locally 10cm leading to some disruption to travel.

I'm up for it when my wife's not working abroad. When she is, and my son's school closes **again**, I have to stay home to look after him. It's a bit inconvenient to be honest as my job carries a bit of responsibility.

Otherwise I'm well up for it because I love driving in the snow.

Bit confused as their map for 20th shows a pleasant day with no severe weather in the UK at all.

I'm a cock as it does show that half the country has to "be aware" and I'll be in that bit.

I didn't "crash", merely "got a bit stuck".

It's fully water-proof and quilted. Toasty.

That's just the way their forecast works. I don't think they have much confidence in this event. It won't appear in the actual forecast until they're more certain it's going to happen. I reckon it could just be rain.

Might be some snow tomorrow in central southern areas and South Wales - warmer weather will then return.

However forecasters at netweather.tv are predicting a long return of colder weather...
