I been to see a mk1 focus rs for sale but it has a dump valve. Are these ok on the rs? Or is it better to go for one without?

They have a recirculating one as standard if its still a recirculating one then that ok (will still hear it if it has an induction kit fitted) if its an atmospheric one then they do not agree with catalytic convetors as they mess the fuelling up. If the rest of the car is good dont discount it though as its very easy to convert it back. Great choice of car thumbup

It was def an atmospheric dump valve. I must admit it did sound quite good.
Anyway have opted for a totally standard one from a private seller. Should be picking it up very soon. I can't wait, was a blast to drive on my test run :-)

Mine had a £200 atmospheric when I viewed it and the it kept cutting out on the test drive, much to the sellers mortification. Easy enough fix, bailey dv26 or 30 iirc and no more stalling. Helped lop a bit off the asking price smile

I had to uprate the standard valve as it started to blow open at 1.6 bar biggrin but kept to the recirculating type due to the running problems they cause

1.6 bar is old money, is that about 22psi?

Methinks sir is running direct vaccum on a forge actuator?

Thats still not hybrid material though is it? Spring change in the actuator?

I never drive mine long enough to warrant doing much with it frown
