heres the problem, my girlfriends car snapped the timing belt. So i removed the head had it rebuilt and a full new head set. Fitted it all with all tolerences in limit made sure piston is at TDC and firing order is correct. the timing has been checked over and over again and every timing mark is in place (camshaft, crankshaft and crank pulley). It almost fires then there is a pop and the throttle body bursts into flames like there is a backfire from the throttle body. I have repeatedly check that the valves are opening in the correct sequence. Any help would be much be very appreciated thanks.

Clearly it hasn't been rebuilt and repaired to the level of detail.you suggest.
Assuming timing is correct ( big assumption ), have you done a compression test ?

have you checked ignition timing? if wrong then you won't get anywhere fast.

It still sounds like you have the ignition 180 degrees out.
