Limitations on type of registration for Ultima

As an alternative for building an Ultima in Scandinavia, I'm considering an old Ultima, with some involved rebuild.
I'm only familiar with the different types of registration in Scandinavia.
Are there restrictions when you register an Ultima non factory built in GB ? One I could think of is a rule similar to one in Sweden when registering an amateur built car, that you can't sell it earlier than after a year.
There are also some rules that makes it easier for the exhaust values, the ruling isn't so harse and one can pay an extra fee for not having to meet all restrictions.
Are there similar regulations ?
Or are the Ultima as any other registered car, no restrictions, no limitations or special considerations when registered in GB ?
The reason I ask, is to be able to judge how and where to register the car in Scandinavia if I buy an already built one.
