hi folks, it's me again, iv,e got my 308 safley home and all tucked up in my garage, been giving her a good look over, does anyone out there know how to switch on the lower front fog\ driving lamps fitted in thre lower grille, my car is 1985 so its a late 308' i notice the earlier cars dont seem to have the lamps fitted, i can switch on the rear fogs, but for the hell of me i cant find the front switch ..
The front fogs arent actualy fogs, but front daylight flashing lights, to use them simply pull back the light stalk as you would to flash the main beams on a normal car..............
some people wire in a small switch to use them as they would a set of front fogs
let me know if you havent got the owners manual and I'll email you a copy

thank you andrew, iv'e just been out to try it and you are quite right, i have the original handbook and we gave it a scan last night, must try harder, you know us blokes, instruction manuals and all that, while i am on, the rear fog lamp switch looks like it has been replaced at some time with a normal toggle switch, can anyone suggest where i could aquire the correct one to match all the others in the centre console, you will all probably know the style i am talking about. thanks Ray.

hi, good for you matey, yes i have wanted a 308 ever since you know when, ive had loads of cars over the years, but i never thought i could aspire to a 308 GTS, iv'e just come into the house again from standing in my driveway staring into my garage and drooling, iv'e made an appointment at our local hospital to have this silly grin surgically removed fron my face !! cant wait for the spring and some decent weather so i can go out cruising, until then i am going to play with it and put any little 25year old niggles right, not that there is much to put right ,,

Im across in east Lincolnshire, used to go through Chester every week end on the way to our Holiday home in Beddgelert in North Wales. Had some good late night runs on fast empty roads. My brother in law is big into his bus`s and is a member of several preservation groups and is currently restoring a real old one in a collection in Norfolk.was going to turn up in my shogun, but i went in my leyland titan double decker bus, it needed a run, i sure know how to impress the lady's eh, she thought it was brill, i even got her to have a drive, i did show her the 308 though, take care Ray

This is getting a bit pointless and silly isn't it? All he did was point out that you have spelt Ferrari incorrectly in the title of two topics now. Pedantic maybe, but no need to stoke the fires by replying in a manner, to be honest, as we would expect an 18 year old troll to do.
I have no doubt that you are who and what you say you are, mainly as not many 18 year olds would think of pairing a bus with Ferrari, but with the text speak, please understand that others may be sceptical. It is the nature of forums I'm afraid.

btw Can a "non-bus driver" carry (legally) 64 passengers in an old bus? Think you can have a "few" passengers (8) before the special license needed is required. Minimum age 21 for anything > 7.5 tonnes. Artistic license perhaps.
Enjoy the Ferrari though, however you choose to spell it.

i fully agree with you all, this is getting a LOT pointless' as i said in my reply to the first critisism of my, it seems unfogivabe crime of spelling ferrari incorectly, i was very exited about realising a lifelong dream of owning a 308, i dont use a computer keyboard very often and when i do i make plenty of spelling errors, anyway i thought that these forums were to exchange views and information about our fantastic cars not to critisise each others literacy skills, and when i got the second dig, unfortunatly i failed to rise above it, just as i have done this time, just for your information, i am 59 years old, i have worked at Bently Motors for over 25 years, i am proud the admit that i do own a classic double decker bus, i also own a 1969 Mk II mini cooper "S" and now i have the car of my dreams, and i paid for it with cash, in full!! it's all mine, unlike i suspect a lot of so called supercar "owners" out there who still owe the finance folk £1000s, i am sorry to have offended any of you nice guys out there but as you can see, that pointless critisism got slighly out of hand, PS i have just got in from my days work, today i have driven a bently GT supersports down to bruntinthorpe proving ground, thrashed it around the circit for 2 hours to try and break it,i only achieved 179 mph, nasty headwind, and it did not break, they never do, anyway just thought i would share todays fun and games with you, take care, Ray .
