Anyone been watching it?

The O'Sullivan - Williams Match yesterday was awesome.

Even though Ronnies heads not in the right place at the moment I still fancy him for the win.

He just annoys me. Such a breathtaking player with such a messed up mind.

Looking forward to the final and thinking some tickets for the World Championships could be in order! Haven't been for a few years, but the combination of top quality snooker and the Crucible can't be beaten for a cue sports experience IMO. My money is on O'Sullivan for today.

Yeh been following this, O Sullivan is a clown and there seems to be a guy at all his games shouting go on Ronnie all the time sounds a right plonker.

Stephen Hendry will never be surpassed as THE greatest player the games ever seen and hes a true gent.

Not watched snooker for ages.

Always enjoyed watching Ronnie "perform" well - when he's in a good mood.

What's the matter with him now? Should be more matured if anything.

Amazing final. Can't believe how tension can make such great players look ordinary!

Best final I've seen for some time indeed! Thought Ron was his usual ignorant self after the end.

Worth staying awake for, agreed.

Ronnie seems to be in a bit of a dark place at the moment, hearing some of the interviews this week. Depression is a tough thing to deal with, especially if you have to do it in public.

Well done Mark for winning though - great standard throughout the week from everyone.

Me too, the number of times that he's come back like that now is incredible. Only watched the final up until 9-7 so missed his comeback but will see if it's on iPlayer later.

Brilliant series, loved most of the games.

Will go along one time to watch some, don't know if I could manage the 12+ hours being sat around rather than being sat on my comfy sofa watching hehe

have to say, thats the biggest load of tosh ive heard in a long time.

hendry a gent? is this the same hendry that back in the mid 90's was well renowned for ignoring fans requests for autographs, and generally being a self rightous pompous asshole?

as for the people shouting ronnie, thats down to them, surely? they pay there money, they have there alleagiances, ronnie is, in my mind and most others, the greatest snooker player to ever walk the earth, ok so he has his personal battles (drink/drugs, now depression) but he still plays on and makes 100% sure that every fan that pays there hard earned gets there moneys worth, win, lose or draw.

last nights final was amazing, the standard of play will be remembered for a long time, ronnies shot in the 17th (iirc) to put the yellow beind the black then bring the white up to the baulk end was one of the greatest shots i have ever seen.

but credit where credits due, Mark Selby...a VERY deserving champion.

Having met Hendry in a non snooker capacity, the above summation is, in my experience, entirely accurate.

Totally agree, when O'Sullivan is playing at 100% he's unbeatable, it's just unfortunate that the problems he has/had means he rarely turns up at events in tip top form. Selby was awesome last night though, to come back like that against Ronnie when he's in good shape has to be the greatest come back of all time doesn't it?

It's almost fortunate for the sport that Ronnie does have issues, otherwise he'd win every match by a wide margin.

It's said in many sports that one player loses rather than the other wins, and although he played very well I wonder if Mark Selby feels that today? Ronnie should really have won pretty comfortably.
