Amazing film. After the first 30 or so mins its just non stop until the end. You dont realise how long it is until the end! I nearly bought it in Asda for cheap but Im holding out for it on Blu Ray.

I know not everyone is a fan though. I think it all depends on your ability to suspend your disbelief of plastic monsters.

I saw it when I was about 16, I'm 43 now! Scared me shcensoreditless, especialy when the husky turned into the Thing!

Got mine on blu-ray for a tenner in a hmv sale a while back. Amazingly it looks really good! Escape from new York not so much though

Effects are still great.
Best sci-fi horror? Most likely ties with Alien/s for the top.
Can't think of anything else that comes close.
