145 Cloverleaf not starting after changing the battery

I changed the battery on my 2000 Cloverleaf today and now the car is refusing to start. The ignition lights come on but it will not turn over. Is there a master reset process or perhaps an immobiliser code that needs to be done before it will start?
Please help need it for work tomorrow

Did you check that the new battery was charged?

The immobiliser won't prevent the car starting - it inhibits the fuel pump. To check, does the orange CODE light on the dash go out when you turn the ignition on?

Sounds like the battery has enough power to operate the electrics but not the starter motor.

The battery is charged so I'm stumped. The CODE light comes on and then goes off...

Definitely not the immobiliser then. Is it the same rating battery (CCA value)? Does it make ANY noise when you turn the key to the starting position? Even a tiny clicking sound?

Some brand new batteries do FAIL! I had this two years ago on my VW. The shop swapped the battery and it was fine!

Have you reconnected all the wires correctly?

(Sorry to ask obvious questions, but start with the easy stuff - and I have seen it done before!)

It does sound like a duff battery or poor connection somewhere.

What state is your relay box in?
This is the Black Box of bks just in front of the battery. It often get's clonked when a battery is changed and then you open it to see it's full of green mould....

A long shot I'll admit, but have you checked the fuel cutoff switch under the passenger seat? I managed to flick that without being anywhere near the passenger seat before, had me stumped for a while!
