E46 Issues

Car won't remotely lock with key.

All dash lights are on even with key out of ignition.

Any ideas guys?

My X5 did this a while ago. I think i just left it a while and it re-set itself?? Leave it 10 mins and try again. You never know...

How odd, never had any issues of any sort, let alone like that, have you tried checking the wiring loom to see if there any obvious loose connections? Pulling the dash apart probably isn't going to be much fun though, depends whether you want to take it into the dealer or not for diagnosis...

Been like it all night now.

Not only the normal dash lights but cruise and traction too.

When you manually lock the car, the alarm keeps going off.

Try a power down - disconnect the battery for 15 minutes, I've never tried this with a BM, but in the past, with other cars, this resets the ECU. It has corrected or confirmed little glitches, again, I have no idea how this reacts with a German car, but certainly works with Jap.

Left that car unlocked all night.

Called the garage I use first thing and booked it in, went out to start car and it had sorted itself....
