Engine and SVA

Dear Ultima friends

Does anyone know the rules if i would take an engine from say 1991 or 1995 Corvette engine and build that in an Ultima
would i need to fit a Cat converter or isnt that necesary to get a sva on it

this topic might be discussed already but couldt find any usefull info

The emissions requirement for SVA and MOT is dependant on the year of the engine. It starts as a visual smoke test (how do you calibrate a vehicle inspector???) and goes up to the latest standards which by definition will require cats.
From memory I think the cats start at 1995. I have it at home but am away on business and will be back home Thursday evening.
I'm sure I posted the list before but can't find it.

Steve thanks i thought that i saw it somewhere last year but i could not find the list when you find it please sent it so i can see wether i will have to use a cat

I think you'll find its '93.
I'm going by the engine builders who state that their blocks are pre '93 for SVA requirements......
