Get Yourself a Cheap Battery Charger

Lidl are currently doing a battery charger for £12.99, I got myself one of these over a year ago and have been using it over winter, cut off the lugs and put a car cigarette lighter plug on from Maplins(£2.49) and away you go..... Includes a 3yr warranty, a great bargin.

Does it also 'maintain'? It doesn't mention this in the advert but then again it is very similar in design to the 'Maypole' I have and it's only when you read through the enclosed blurb that you realise it incorporates this feature.

No, it says you have to disconnect the battery before charging. Might look like Ctek chargers, that's all. Tbh, might as well buy a £10 trickle charger.

For £12.99 i would'nt pollute the planet using petrol to take it back to LIDL.
Just got one today thanks to this post (cheers).
Quick gander at the instructions says disconnect battery.....kinda hoping i can leave it on actually as don't like offing and oning the battery. Anyone the wiser ???

I bought one of the Lidl ones to charge my battery, but for the life of me I can't get it to go to mode 3 so exchanged it thinking it was faulty, just plugged the new one in and it won't go to mode 3 either Is there some kind of black magic spell you need to get it to change mode or have I managed to get 2 faulty ones?

No magic needed, but it wont switch modes if it cant see the battery voltage /load,so if its open circuit it will just sit there.
