When's the first run of this year?

As title really.

Wondering when we will have the first organised day out for stretching our cars legs again.

Also, do we fancy heading back on kmm's route or routes in that area or head south on paulqv's route from june?

Thoughts from others?

Also, dates as i will be replacing the tyres and clutch/slave cylinder on the freelander so it will be in good condition for driving.

Kmm, ive mostly got that smoking under full boost issue sorted.

I was thinking about March time which gives a bit of time for the roads to clean up. I'm happy to arrange another run at some point, but it would be great if Paul can arrange one and Si (who you forgot about) can do one also. Anyone else who want's to arrange a run is very welcomed. Nice to have different areas and roads.

It does take more time than you expect which i found out. Looking forward to it.

I have been missing taking the old cars out for a run and had been thinking about organising something soon!
Meant to be a Ferrari owners club lunch this sunday in Gleneagles for anyone who likes the cars, owns one or may think of joining the Scottish branch of very nice people!!! Had the 328 in my mates garage over the winter and want him to prove he still has it there!

I will see Andrew (MG) shortly to give him a thrashing at squash ( fighting talk), so will discuss , when i get my breath back, the idea!

Anyone interested?

Perhps a wee mini run even if it's somehwhere with coffee, large bacon butties and cake for a winter chat and short drive?

Perhps a drive to Gavins cafe in Moffat and back? Or Largs taking the back road as long as it's not icy?

Count me in - sounds fun! A run to Largs for fish`n`chips and coffee at Nardinis is always a hit!

Yep up for that, but weather will dictate which toy comes out. had the tractor [db7] out on sunday on some back roads- cobra would have been worse...Def a nardini run if weather is reasonable.also how about a wee ferry ride to cumbrae.nice quick tour round island for a small ferry fee.

not sure I could get the QV onto the ferry easily! Had enough problems with grounding the nose as you may recall!!! Mind you we could take the ferry across and cycle around? lol I think the young ones may leave us a few miles behind though.
So it's Largs!!
Big car parks on the front. We could se the back road via Kibirnie just off the M8 a the airport and hope we don't have the Nissan Micra club sunday tea drive in front of us! Always amazes me what you see when I don't have my guns with me!!
one last thing. Standing Andrew and I appalling record of crashes on our runs, does someone else want to headline this!!!!

Ok you've talked me into it. Last mini-run in October was really good, so hopefully i can make this as i've got a few things on at week-ends in the months ahead.

Last good run my car had was going down to Irvine on the 4th Jan. There was still quite a bit of snow lying on the roads but i had a great time. Quattro + snow = fun

Largs isn't to far from me so if the date is ok might end up meeting everyone in Glasgow so can join in with a bit more of the run!

Lets try for 7th feb then! Hopefully this will be a sunday!! Serves me right for trying to type, read my phone callender and watch the TV at the same time! I know I shouldnt try and multitask as I am a man!

Plan so far:

Meet Glasgow for 9.3=-45, usual place; drive back roads to Largs; eat lots of nice things. kick tyres and chat?

Not very exciting but would be a first meeting?? Happy for other ideas.
