It's limited to 1,948 pieces, has the 'Seamaster' font in red and has a ceramic and 'liquidmetal' bezel ... Looks rather tasty! cloud9

I'm never any good at translating marketing BS- is the main advantage of this the ability to make a highly polished hard-alloy bezel with a ceramic bezel insert and have the two seamlessly joined? Regardless, it looks very good, esp the ceramic face.

That is so, so nice.

I want to have money. frown

Weird how it seems liking cars, technology and watches go hand in hand.

I was thinking the same thing about the Ginetta G-40. If I owned/ran one, I think I'd be almost as happy working for a pit crew reassembling it with power tools as I would be driving it.

Looks good, expect a non limited edition version for 2/3 the price when this one sells out that will cost 2/3rds it's retail price as soon as it's been on someones wrist.

Dial and bezel look nice, but they don't look "another 2.5K" nice.

A colleague has just bought one, but I've yet to see it in teh flesh. £3,850 iirc. I love it, but done the Omega Ltd Ed already. Would need to be given another Omega leather jacket to splash £3,850 on the LM with that movement.... wink

£2.5k 'over' the normal price. It's £3,580, but if you can get me one for £2.5k I'll have 3!

I called my AD (who I know very well).

He called his Omega rep who told him that it was a Boutique only product, was designed to test the punters reaction to the new look (apparantly it's been favourable) and that it was priced at £2.5K.

Also, his advise was that we are likely to see this style of bezel filtering down to the mainstream ranges this year with a possible announcement at Baselworld in March. I am attending Basel with the AD in question so can give him a slap if he's wrong.

If the information he gave me is incorrect, then I apologise smile

Can you PM me his number please? If he can source them at £2.5k, I'm in!

Saw this on TZ, it looks lovely...
It'll be interesting to see if this filters down to other Omega models; I'd love a Seamaster like that! biggrin

Perhaps it's just me but I can't see much of a difference from that photo to the normal Planet Ocean.

Exec summary: the dial and bezel are shinier, and the word "seamaster" is red.
