Whoo, I'm apparently in charge of the honeymoon so my thinking cap is now firmly on!

[-]I've[/]We've decided to have a slightly adventerous honeymoon so that rules out all those lovely infinity pool type holidays that are advertised at the back of all the bridal magazines.

As the wedding will be in December it is kinda limiting places in the Northern Hemisphere that will be interesting and warm!

Current thinking at the moment is to head to America, either a trip round California or New York.

I'd love to hear from those of you who have had a similar honeymoon and I'm also very open to other suggestions!

New York will be bl**dy freezing if not covered in snow in December !!

How about pardon the pun heading down under either to Oz or better still road trip around NZ, the second option would be better as everything is much clser together so you should be able to achieve more. Could call into Hong Kong on your way back

What about a road trip from California to New York? Hire a muscle car or something?

NZ road trip would be stunning, as would anything in Oz.

We did a safari in Kenya + week on the coast to relax.

Personally I'd love to do that but it would pushing things with the OH a little bit!

I'll be happy if I can get 3-4 quality days of driving in a nice car amongst nice scenery, California would seem to suit the bill and would have decent weather at that time of year. There is also the option of heading to Mammoth for a spot of skiing.

I'd love to do either OZ or NZ but for my OH the travel time is a bit on the long side, saying that if I could persuade her about NZ then we're off there in a shot!

It'll be ok on the coast but inland the mountain passes get closed by snow if you're thinking of Yosemite.

We went to Vancouver and Whistler for some skiingthumbup
