its driving me nuts. Was having a conversation about this but can't picture what movie this is from:
A guy has flashbacks to when he is on a (bus?) and they have to be quiet,he may have been a soldier, the enemy is outside (Vietnam springs to mind but could be anywhere!) . There is a woman on the bus and he remembers in his flashback most of the time that she kills a chicken as it was making noise but in fact we find out later she kills her own baby.
HELP, tried googling key areas but I didn't get anywhere!

Not jacobs ladder is it? Don't remember that bit, but it's full of flashbacks where you learn what you think you knew isn't true...otherwise reminds me of shindlers list, where the Nazi's are searching for Jews, she kills her baby trying to keep it quiet, but they here the 'death rattle' and catch them anyway?

that sounds like one of the last episodes of the last series of MASHthe bloke who has the flashbacks is Hawkeye (Alan Alda)
