Does anybody have a recommendation for a good valeting service (either mobile or not)? Not looking for anything hardcore like paint correction , just a damn good wash (inc. underneath), wax & interior clean without any back to black!

Seen that before, looks very impressive (think I was in touch with him regarding some spraying).

Overkill for a wash and wax or really worth it?

Not overkill at all. He'll do you a much better wash and wax than anyone else, just the same way he'll do a better full detail than anyone else. Once you use KDS, it really does become the default answer to pretty much every question about car care you come up with. Plenty of other satisfied customers on here saying the same thing, regardless of the cars they drive.

Plus, I believe he still has a bunch of lifts in his unit, so he can do a proper job of the underside.

All the best,
Jay

I have started writing a large amount for my website over christmas and is still on going with regarding the services we provide, this will be split into sub menus with a full menu price packages with a decription and examples against each package .

Main reason for this is get alot of customers ringing or email with slight embarrassment asking for a lesser job than my usual extreme detail work thinking thats all i do banghead.

So too combat this problem, i am creating a menu with around 4 valet sytle packages and 4 detail (1 none and 3 machine correction stages)packages .

This should cover most things regarding customers requirments and make things clearer for public , this will also free up some of my valuable time from answering so many emails and phone quotes .

I do have staff here that have been trained by my self for just your valeting requirements thumbup

As Jay says we can even lift your vehicle wash the underneath , then undersill / waxoil etc after clean up .

Have done such a process to TVR's chassis and will be doing it to my own when i have time .

My XKR's seats (Ivory) would suggest you should beat a path to KDS if you want the job done right. They are now better than new.

Cheers Kelly. I'll be in touch about the paintwork soon. All this snow has put me behind and the Jag hasn't left the garage until Sunday.

Hi Kelly

Fab website already. Fantastic idea to have the full range of options on your website to avoid potential customer embarrassment ROFL.

I keep meaning to give you a call to get an idea of what your waiting list is like and a rough estimate of how long I'd have to leave a car with you for various treatments. Perhaps that's information you could try and include on the website too.

Got a couple of cars needing at least a full clean inside and out and a good polish. And one of those needing a soft top clean and proof. I just love the care you and your team take in masking when you do the soft top.

Waxoyl treatment sounds fab given all the road grime our cars have picked up in recent weeks.

firstly thanks , have been meaning to update website for over a year now , but been just too busy to do so and i am not going to complain in these hard times wink

You will either have to drop me an email or call (best time between 9am-2pm and tracy office girl will be able to get some idea of what you are after or pass you direct to me) .

When i am machine polishing (which i am mostly doing all day everyday) i have no chance of hearing the phone after tracy has gone home .

waiting lists change all the time , what i do can be very seasonal and varys alot with weather.

In the summer months can be booked for 2-3 months while in the winter more like a week .

Most customers start booking end of feb start of march , last year in a one week period ( i think it was a week in march with 3-4 nice sunny days ) i went from 1 week time to 2 months lead time in 3 days .

What happens as the same sofar this year (had at least 20 enquires for full type 3-5 details) in first 2 weeks of jan all saying they will book sometime in the spring , that when spring arrives the dates the customers had in mind are gone and they quote " you was only booked for one week in advance" , i guess everyone just has the same idea as so as the sunny comes out .

And of course many customers have their car prepped for the show season too .

Timescales for different processes we undertake can be from half/one day all the way to 16+ weeks and anything in between .

The bulk of the detail work takes 3-5 days .

Valeting from 1-2 days

Then restoration work 2-16 weeks .

So booking in restoration work will have a much larger lead time for booking than a 1 day valet

A valet could be booked next day most of the time , but if the customer was to add valet and wheel refurb, small bit of paintwork , service or even just underside clean (need the use of ramp) then could be weeks if all ramps are booked for detail/bespoke and servicing work .

This guy (Rob) bar none... Have used him for many years and his attention to detail is admirable. Check out his portfolio.
