Z4 M Coupe window replacement

Picked up quite a bad chip in the front windscreen today.

It's covered by insurance but seem to recall some horror stories about replacing windscreens on Z4 M Coupes. Anyone had any experience of this and potential issues?

I've heard some issues with Z4 screens - see if your insurer will cover BMW doing it.

Had mine replaced a couple of months ago without issue. Wish I'd asked for a top tint though.

Thanks for the (general) reassurance.

Autoglass are coming on Friday so we'll see. Looking at it again they will probably resin it but not sure how good this is in the long term.
