Avg fuel consumption over 5k miles
Discussion
Hi everyone - this is my first PH post - Whey!
I noticed earlier today that the combined mpg on my Alfa GT (1.8) is approx 24mpg, and was astonished at how low it was. It would have been around 5k miles ago that I reset the meter.
A typical weeks driving for me includes motorway, city and 'A' road driving which totals between about 250 - 300 miles. I know that Alfa's are poor at the old fuel consumption business anyway, but was wondering what the M Power machines were getting.
Thanks in advance,
BimmerM.

Z4MC over the last 5000 has done 24.1 and that`s with a lot of gentle motorway driving!!
Mine's with 75% motorway, 3 track days, 5 x 250 mile Snowdonia blasts, 5 x 200 mile Peak District blasts.I think it's the SPECS on the M6 that's brought my average up - although I did find that cruising at 100mph gave slightly better economy than 90mph.

22.9 for a Z4MR for last 10K miles or so.
but today with plenty of time to a meeting I stayed on inside lane for 70 miles of motorway at a nudge under 60 mph and got 35.2 mpg with occasional lorry overtake moves.
Bloody amazing that from a 3.2. I've had similar on a return trip from Manchester.but today with plenty of time to a meeting I stayed on inside lane for 70 miles of motorway at a nudge under 60 mph and got 35.2 mpg with occasional lorry overtake moves.

I was also interested to see that damn 25 decrement work to next service/inspection - it always seems to take a huge step down on a normal motorway run, today it was pretty accurate. Better start putting some pennies aside 4975 to Insp. II.
