New member to P/Heads and in particular the Ultima forum, so "Hello" to all.
After many years of been an avid motorsports fan, watching and contributing, I have now reached a point in my life that I need to do something for myself. It has been a long research period, looking at various areas that will 'scratch my itch' and I have decided that a self build is the option for me.
The Ultima GTR or Can-Am has won me over and is going to be the prefered choice for my project. After following this manufacturer at shows etc, seeing them in the flesh and having the benefit of actually having a ride in one, a friend of a friend obliged, I have to say that Ultima has set the bar high for its competition.
I have yet to speak to the factory and I have done this purposely, as I need to be thorough in deciding the specification of the final car before I finally take the big plunge.
I am sure that Ultima can supply a comprehensive kit of parts, and the standard bolt build is impressive. However, having this forum, and the vast information available, has widened the opportunity to match Ultima parts with other parts that others have used. In particular, engine spec, gearbox spec, standard interior or modified etc.
Carrying out any 'away from the norm' modifications isn't a problem to me but finding those who have done it is a little more difficult. Therefore is there a post or a known list of quality suppliers of component parts other than Ultima themselves who you guys have used? Would this be of any use to others? Maybe a list of suppliers and particulars?

I started a supplier database sometime ago and populated it with details of what they can offer. There are the obvious ones like Ultima, Jeff Schwartz, American Speed, i.e. the ones known to most of us and it also has alot of others which offer other services which I am sure new builders would be interested in. Is there anyway this data base can be posted on this forum, spreadsheet or similar, to assist us all and to add to? If not I am more than happy to share it via a PM and chat with others.
