Vauxhall Frontera Engine Problems

Hi Guys, my 2 litre vauxhall frontera petrol is having a bit of trouble. Not been driven for a while, went to start it the other day and the engine just keeps turning over but never actually coming on.
The one time I did get it started it was idling at around 500rpm, and so I had to keep blipping the accelerator to stop it from going off. Managed to leave it for ten minutes with out touching the throttle then it turned itself off.
I figured it was either not getting a spark, or not getting fuel. Took the spark plugs out today and gave them all a good clean, so they are all fine, but now Im a bit stump.
Is there a fuel valve on this engine that may have closed up for what ever reason that I should re open?
