Picked up Socom on the PS3 for £7.98 in Game the other day. Thought at that price it couldnt be that bad. How wrong was I! After a 2.1gb install that took for ever followed by a long update, I got into the game. No training or hints or well anything to be honest.

Got stuck into the first game and my first thought was "oh someone has randomly assigned keys". Then I was shot and my terribly detailed toon fell on the floor in the most painful looking yoga pose. Not so much Rag doll as Rubber doll.

Then comes the game play, for those who have played CS just think that in 3rd person and with worse weapons/controls oh and physics plus graphics.

I can quite honestly say for £7 I would have had more fun purchasing a few bottles of wine.

Wow! If for £7 you're talking a few bottles of wine, that must be pretty poor then!

I got sick of it when I got team killed by the same prick at the start of a game. 1st time could be an accident, 2nd time I voted to boot but no-one else cared. 3rd time, the game said that if I voted again and didn't get the vote then I'd be kicked myself. FFS it's not rocket science for the game to check the stats and see that the same player team killed me within the first few seconds of a game so they're obviously causing the problem.
