Hi All,

I have always been a fan of the 8 series from knee high. Now I have decided to take the plunge.

If you have a mint 840 - 850 and looking to sell please get in touch. I am not a dealer but purely a massive fan of these cars.

Ideally I am looking for a car with no more than 80k miles and not too many past owners. Suffice to say it has to have FBMWSH.

Cash buyer.

Thanks

You do realise that the newest of these is now over 10 years old and they were launched 20 years ago?

BMW dealers have hardly any technicians that can remember that far back. Much better is recent service history with someone who knows what they are doing...

Yes I realise that these are now quite old. However there are some out there that have few owners and have been meticulously cared for.

Since it has been one of my dream cars I would like to buy one that is simply in fantastic condition.

My point was that a fastidious owner would not now be using a BMW monkey dealer for maintenance!

When I turned up at my local BMW dealer with my 840 it was pretty clear that they didn't know where the hell to start. Rather than let them 'have a go' I found a solid local indy, ex BMW mechanic who knew his subject.

Gets my vote every time.

Hi there.

I am in the final stages of a full restoration on a 1993 E31 850i Calypso Red. I hope to put her up for sale in the next couple of months.

Feel free to PM me for more details.

... and mine. Without a doubt. Most of the BMW monkeys weren't born when the 8 series was introduced.
