A google search brings up a number of different options for the cockney rhyming slang for a pair of jeans.

Including:

Bethnal Greens
Steve McQueens
Baked beans

I think Bethnal Greens is my favourite but are there any Eastenders who could tell me if there is a term that is often actually used to refer to a pair of jeans?

Battle Cruiser is a good one....

All my rhyming slang is based on lock stock.

As for the OP's question, I hope its Bethnal Green aswell

No idea about the jeans.

An old work mate was a proper Londoner type, Dave Sayce, great bloke, he once referred to Barry Manilow as a 'front wheel' - 'front wheel skid' - 'yid'.

That's my favourite.

One that has me stumped to this day. I heard it a few times on The Minder. Arthur would refer to a watch, as a 'kettle'. Why ?

Because kettles used to be suspended on chains over fires.

Watches also used to be on chains, hence a watch is referred to as a kettle.

Strange but true.

I think you'd be better off with a pair of beige Dandy and Beanos.

One of my favourite things to do in London is get in a cab to somewhere and have a full blown mockney off with the cabbie to see how much i can pick up and how long it takes for him to realise I’m taking the piss.

No idea why April was chosen mind you.

Could just as well say January in Paris.
