Never had the need to do this before, but I tried to set-up my 6220 classic to receive email from one of my work accounts but I just cannot get it to work.

First problem I had was that my SIM was 2G only, but that has now been replaced with a 3G SIM from O2.

I first tried setting it all manually, that failed, so then I deleted the account from the phone and used the in-built wizard to create the account.

Incoming email settings asks for:
user name xxx%pop3.xxxxxx.co.uk
password xxxx
incoming email server pop3.xxxx.net
access point default (Internet O2 Active)
mailbox type pop3
security off
port default
APOP secure login off

Outgoing email seetings asks for:
email address xxx@xxx.co.uk
username xxx%pop3.xxxx.co.uk
password xxxx
outgoing mail server mail.02.co.uk
access point default (Internet O2 Active)
security off
port default

I can send emails, no problem at all, I just cant get the damn thing to connect to the inbox to receive mail. It worked, once, yesterday morning, now it just will not work at all.

To receive mail, I click on Connect, it asks which conection to use, I select Internet O2 Active, it then asks for the username and password, prefilled but with the .uk missed off the username (??), I correct that, it then asks to save the password to mailbox settings, click yes and it kicks me out!

Bloody annoying!

So, having searched the Nokia Forums and the Handbook, there are no apparent solutions, but I thought it was worth asking here, justin.

Is it something to do with the security levels?

Cheers
