Bit of a random one. Seems to come on from time to time - especially on the motorway. Often turning the car off and on again sorts it out but it is not particularly clever as it restricts the car to 60mph. Any ideas ?

It's still doing it. Albeit erratically. Anyone else had this problem?

This thread has just gone nuts hasn't it.

Anyway problem now solved. It is a known issue with the cooling fan for the supercharger. Sorted for a couple of hundred quid at John Dennis up at Aylesbury.

Sounds like the engine is going into 'limp mode' of sorts, where it restricts revs/power output/speed to preserve the engine from being overworked.

Sounds like it could be a mass air flow sensor that needs replacing. Worst case scenario is a trip to the main dealers. Best outcome would be to remove it and give it a clean with a hoover or something similar.

Get it on a diagnostic machine to be 100% sure. Any decent indenepdent garage should have one, should cost no more than £40 for a diagnosis of the problem.

Hope it helps.

Take it to a genuine RR Garage and no doubt they will do it for free, that has been my experience even in a different country !
